A Violin of Gold

October 20, 2007 § Leave a comment

Strings of a searching soul
snaps in dormant days.
Sharing a song in a school
where music plays,
we move along the major scale
note for note towards God.
A holy instrument without fail
sounds with a golden rod,
creating a composition of art-
a written score of no measure.
My soul takes part
in this spirit of pleasure.
Music from my heart calls
harmony in heaven’s halls.

Amendable

Mending love parts,
he reaches hearts.
Crossing a bridge
on a pilgrimage,
I fade into a song
lifelong;
My music plays
from sunrays.
He stops to watch me
walk, fall into the sea…
My only fear is he,
Creator of destiny.

Blind Fulfillment

Peering out my window pane,
I caught a glimpse strike in the midst of rain;
Thereafter, I heard the thunder pound,
only to hear shortly no sound.
The storm still furied about;
but, it was my mind—heart that shut it out.
I soon vision to be in a far away place.
I left the spot where I stood, without a trace.
I was set free
in a place where I’ve always wanted to be.
I gathered in the meadows, hope-
to hold me fest at the end of my rope.
I further reached for the skies, to dry a single tear-
for the future, I mustn’t fear.
Finally, I strolled along the shore
to capture something more…
Just then, I was startled from a tap behind.
It was a friend who was concerned, so kind.
I glanced once again out my window pane
and saw the sun had cleared the pouring rain.
I asked God, “What is it I want more?”
Perhaps, all along it was He who I was looking for.
