Daze of Days

October 21, 2007 § 2 Comments

Your voice hums in my heart.
New York passes, so does my art-

To the moment we start
To the moment we part…

In the west, I hear your vow.
In the east, where are you now?

Are you holier-than-thou?
Than my love somehow…

I shall find
Your face behind

Colors of my mind

Dressed by the sand,
You stand.

Fed from the ocean’s hand,
You understand…

Bathed in the sun,

Our love begun,
We were in it for the long run.

Naked as can be-
Our tears swam alongside destiny.

Now, nothing’s left more to see-
Except loneliness, my great poverty

And the glee of hearts-free

But, I can see and others agree
There was nothing wrong with me…
