Hands toiled,
clothes soiled,
she breathes
and leaves
her scent.
Back bent,
red skin
so thin

lost tears
in sleep
to keep
her high;
night’s sigh-
low pay
work day:
Her gift
to lift
my dreams.
Love streams
the sum
of mom.
